Trashman LTD ("Trashman", "we") runs a subscription service for scheduled trash pickup in Cameroon, delivered through its mobile app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Who we are

Trashman LTD operates the Trashman service and its mobile app. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@trashman.io.

Data we collect

  • Phone number, used to create and secure your account in the app.
  • Pickup address and location (the pin you drop on the map), to schedule the truck route.
  • Billing and payment history, processed via MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money. We don't collect or store your mobile money credentials or card details — payments are handled directly by your mobile money provider.
  • Technical and diagnostic data (device type, app version, crash logs) to fix bugs and keep the app reliable.
  • Push notification token, used to send pickup reminders and account updates.

Why we use this data

  • To provide and manage your scheduled pickup subscription.
  • To process your monthly payments and keep your billing history.
  • To send pickup reminders and account-related notifications.
  • To diagnose technical issues and improve app reliability.

How data is shared

  • With MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money, solely to process your payments.
  • With technical service providers (hosting, crash reporting) acting as processors, solely to run the app.
  • We never sell your personal data to third parties.
  • We may disclose data if required by Cameroonian law, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Billing records may be kept longer where required by law for accounting purposes. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time; some billing records may be retained where regulations require it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your data directly from the app, or by writing to privacy@trashman.io. We respond to all requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Children's privacy

Trashman is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the "last updated" date above will be revised.
